Aurore Delaigle is a professor of statistics at The University of Melbourne and an ACEMS Chief Investigator.
Among her many honours, Aurore is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science, the American Statistical Association, and was recently elected an Associate Fellow of The Royal Academy of Science, Letters and Fine Arts in her country of birth, Belgium.
Aurore’s passion is using statistics to tackle challenging questions that solve real, practical problems. In this episode, we explore some of the different problems she is taking on with her statistical expertise.
Aurore also talks about her outreach in the worldwide statistical community and how she hopes she can be an example for other women, and the next generation, to go after a career in stats, maths, or data science.
