We hope you can join us to help celebrate International Women in Mathematics (and Statistics) Day. Here is a rundown of what we have planned for you. At the bottom of the page is information on how you can share your own Women in Maths Day message!
"Inclusion-Exclusion in the mathematical sciences: who is kept out, and how we can use maths to bring them in"
Dr Cheng has been featured in the New York Times, presented TED Talks, written several books, and even appeared on "The Late Show with Steven Colbert".
Dr Eugenia Cheng’s most recent book, X + Y, a Mathematician’s Manifesto for Rethinking Gender, tackles the issue of gender inequality and argues that her mathematical specialty, category theory, reveals why. In this lecture, Dr Cheng explores how we can make mathematics more inclusive.

The event is catered and there will be light nibbles and drinks. We thank ACEMS for sponsoring this event. PLEASE REGISTER YOUR ATTENDANCE
ACEMS invites you to take part in a video and poster campaign to celebrate International Women in Mathematics Day 2021.
ACEMS is putting together videos and posters for sharing leading up to the day and on the day itself. ACEMS will also share them on its website, on all of its social media and on its YouTube page. The campaign is open anyone in the mathematical sciences (not just women). So allies of women in maths, feel free to share a message of support!
