Episode 25: Safe Blues

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the Australian government to put into place multiple social distancing directives to slow the spread of the virus. Those measures, appear to have achieved their goal of dramatically slowing the spread (as of 29 April release of this podcast).

But how long must we continue doing what we're doing? What happens if there is a second, or even a third wave of the virus?

The biggest challenge when it comes to answering questions like these is time. It takes days, even weeks, to figure out why something is happening, or if a certain measure is working or not.

In this episode, we explore a project called 'Safe Blues'. Its aim is to dramatically reduce the amount of time it takes for leaders to find out if certain measures involving social distancing are, or aren't, working.
