My background is in mathematics and statistics, and I am working on a PhD which focuses on improving Bayesian computational algorithms in likelihood-free and pseudo-marginal contexts. I am particularly interested in sequential Monte Carlo, approximate Bayesian computation and Bayesian synthetic likelihood.
I received an honourable mention under the category of best posters in theory and methods for my poster "Unbiased and Consistent Nested Sampling via Sequential Monte Carlo". This was joint work with Robert Salomone (UQ), Christopher Drovandi (QUT) and Dirk Kroese (UQ).
Forum Mathematics for Industry Excellent Poster Award was awarded to Leah South. Awarded from the Forum Mathematics-for-Industry.
