I studied Spatial Sciences in Germany and graduated in 2004 and started working for a public utility company as a GIS Technician. Next, I worked as an on-site contractor for the US Army Europe (USAREUR) in Germany, and received a “Certificate of Excellence in honour of exceptional performance for outstanding support to Range Operations”.
After I gave birth to my first child, I decided to study Computer Science at a distance learning university where I could be flexible in allocating time to my studies and my family. I graduated with a Bachelor Science degree in Applied Computer Science and moved to Australia shortly afterwards. By the end of my second year I was fortunate enough to receive an ACEMS "Certificate of outstanding achievement" as part of my PhD candidature in Applied Statistics with the focus on spatio-temporal Machine Learning approaches and prediction models.
