Rhys Bowden is a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne. Rhys received a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Adelaide in 2015 with a thesis titled "Link Loss Tomography and Topology Synthesis". Since then he has worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Melbourne in the School of Engineering and now School of Mathematics. His research interests include stochastic modelling and applied probability, with applications including Bitcoin, other blockchains, Internet topology modelling, and computer network tomography.
