The goal of this 3-year project is to work with Southeast Queensland Healthy Land & Water to design and implement a model-based monitoring, assessment and reporting framework. This will include predicting annual ecosystem-health scores for four indicator groups (fish, macroinvertebrates, physicochemical, and ecosystem processes), as well as annual freshwater ecosystem-health scores. QUT will also provide recommendations about innovative in-situ sensing technologies, as well as adaptive sampling designs and predictive models that can be used to estimate ecosystem health-scores at previously un-sampled locations throughout SEQ.
