Ben is the Centre's Administrator. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from RMIT and has completed further studies in physics and pure mathematics at the University of Melbourne. Ben joined ACEMS in 2016 and has previously worked at the University of Melbourne in other administrative roles, including working for the Melbourne Materials Institute and the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
As the Centre's Administrator, Ben's duties include providing close administrative support to the Centre's Directorate and Chief Operating Officer, administering the ACEMS reporting system and is the Executive Officer to the ACEMS Executive Committee and Scientific Advisory Committee. He also assists with node administration at the University of Melbourne, assisting all ACEMS personnel based at the University of Melbourne on a range of enquiries including recruitment, travel arrangements for visitors, finance transactions and facilities related enquiries.
Outside of ACEMS, Ben enjoys a getting away from the city on the occasional road trip with friends and family, maintaining his car, and spending time with his two daughters Amelia and Zara.
