Dr Brendan Patch
Brendan's current research focuses on the development of mathematical tools to study the stability properties of and perform strategic planning for stochastic models that are applicable to communication (e.g.cloud computing, wireless networks) and transportation (e.g. road traffic) applications.
From 2015 to 2019 Brendan was jointly appointed between University of Queensland (UQ) and University of Amsterdam (UvA), and was affiliated with both ACEMS and The Network Centre (thenetworkcenter.nl). His advisory team consisted of Michel Mandjes (UvA), Thomas Taimre (UQ) and Neil Walton (University of Manchester).
He completed his undergraduate studies in economics and finance at The Australian National University during 2008-2011. After this he worked in environmental sciences as a research assistant at the Integrated Catchment Assessment and Management Centre simultaneously to completing a Master of Science (Mathematics) at UQ during 2012-2014.
