Paul completed his PhD at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Operations Research in 2002. He went on to post-doctoral research until 2006 when he took on the role of Mathematician at global consulting firm AECOM. He later moved across to Aurecon in 2012. During that time he was a technical leader of an Operations Modelling team, focusing on transportation, mining, logistics and supply chain. In 2016, Paul accepted the role at QUT as an Associate Professor of Operations Research in the School of Mathematical Sciences.
