In 2020, Lakshan began his PhD in the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering at Monash University, under the supervision of Dr Reza Razzaghi and Professor Rob Hyndman. The PhD is sponsored by the Australian Energy Market Operator and the goal is to use statistical tools to gain insights into modern power systems.
