Dr Kate Saunders
Associate Investigator

Kate Saunders is a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands. Her core research interest is extreme value theory, as applied to problems in climate and meteorology. As part of her research at TU Delft, she works jointly with the Royal Netherlands Institute of Meteorology (KNMI). Prior to this she studied her PhD at the University of Melbourne under the supervision of Peter Taylor.

* The Challenge organiser benchmarked the results incorrectly, so although the web page is out of date, Alec Stephenson, Laleh Tafakori and myself were the winning team. We have been invited to contribute our winning entry to the Extremes journal for publication.
