In November 2018, Jacob graduated from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a Bachelor of Mathematics. He was also awarded a QUT medal for his achievements. His current research involves finding improved methods of inference for complex models with intractable likelihoods. Jacob is also interested in machine learning techniques and their applications in artifical intelligence and statistics, having some work experience in this field.
