Amalan completed his Bachelor's degree in Statistics with Honors at Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Currently conducting research as a PhD student focusing on enabling new algorithms for big data under the approach of experimental designs. Where the final output of this research will be to develop new algorithms which can scale big data problems without the loss of accuracy with the immediate availability through an R package.
