We live in world that is so data driven. That data comes in all shapes, sizes – even formats -- and it’s coming to us faster than ever before. But how do we make sense of all that data, or find the information that’s really important?
In other words, how do we find the stories hidden inside that data? And just as importantly, how do we communicate those statistical stories?
In this episode, The Random Sample takes you across the world to the United States to the state of Ohio where two professors at Miami University of Ohio have created a podcast to start telling these stories. Appropriately enough, it’s called “Stats and Stories”.
We chat with co-creator and "stats guy" Distinguished Professor John Bailer on the importance of the podcast, and more broadly, about science communication and statistics.
