We’ve designed a safe ‘virtual’ epidemic. Spreading it is going to help us learn about COVID

One of the biggest challenges in managing the coronavirus pandemic has been a lack of real-time information about the virus’ spread. A team of researchers from Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, including several ACEMS members have developed the Safe Blues project. The aim of the project is to spread virtual virus-like tokens through mobile devices to get a more real-time understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as future epidemics. You can read more about the project in this story in The Conversation.
