MathsCraft professional development workshop in action.

The MathsCraft team returns with a series of interactive 1-day virtual professional development workshops designed to help teachers give their students an authentic experience of doing maths like a research mathematician.

In this workshop, you will be tasked with solving a set of various problems and will also cover how MathsCraft approaches can be used in the classroom. Enabling your students to work in this way can dramatically improve student engagement and the classroom experience. 

Learning Goals:

• practical strategies for analysing experiences of mathematical problem-solving
• how to give your students the ability to have their own independent ideas and see where they lead
• an experience that simulates mathematical research
