Earl Duncan is an ACEMS Research Associate at the Queensland University of Technology. He recently submitted his PhD for external examination. He has previously worked for the Queensland Government as a data analyst and also the Wesley Medical Research Institute as a biostatistician. His research has made contributions to prostate cancer and breast cancer research, with recent efforts focusing on spatial modelling through Bayesian hierarchical models. Earl’s current project entails developing a National Cancer Atlas to provide Australians with an online, interactive atlas of maps which highlight geographic patterns and differences in cancer incidence and survival rates across small areas.
